Premier Power Wash

Desktop and Android apps

Desktop and phone apps that work offline, replacing pen-and-paper records of jobs and payments and the calendar that was made by hand every fortnight.

The challenge

Premier Power Wash was running its round on pen and paper. Which houses had been cleaned, who had paid and who still owed were all written down and tracked by hand.

On top of that, a new calendar had to be created every fortnight. It was repetitive manual work that took time away from the business itself.

What we built

The apps are built around the way a round actually runs: a fixed two weeks, Monday to Friday. Each client is given a round day once, and the app places them on that day every fortnight, or every four weeks for monthly clients. The calendar is worked out, not written out.

On the desktop, one screen shows the fortnight’s money and every house for the day, grouped by street. One click produces the whole fortnight’s daily sheets, one A4 page per working day, ready to tick in the van.

On the phone, the Today tab shows the day’s streets and the houses on each, with a tap to mark each one done. The full round, every client and everything owed are a tab away. All of it works with no signal, and syncs with the desktop later.

Key capabilities

A calendar that makes itself

Fortnightly and monthly clients appear on their round day automatically, for up to 250 houses a day.

The round on the phone

The day’s streets and houses, ready to tick off on site, with the whole fortnight a tab away.

Part payments

Paid in full or part paid: the amount received is recorded, and the rest stays owed.

Who owes what

Every address that owes money, most owed first, with a balance cleared in one tap.

Missed visits

Any house due in the last four weeks and not done is flagged in red until it is dealt with.

Money and profit

Money in, money out and profit for each fortnight, with a spreadsheet export for the accountant.

Printed daily sheets

Sorted by street then door number, with tick boxes for done and paid, and no client names.

Clients on any device

Search and add clients from the desktop or the phone, each with their own round day, price and frequency.

Offline, synced and backed up

No connection or separate database needed, with syncing between devices, an optional PIN lock and automatic daily backups.

The result

  • Pen-and-paper records replaced by one app, on desktop and phone
  • The fortnightly calendar is worked out by the app, not made by hand
  • Who has paid and who still owes, visible at a glance
